Three more contestants in this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful television reality show have been shown the exit after failing to garner enough votes from both the public and judges for this week.
For five weeks, they proved themselves worthy of the GMB crown and survived one eviction, but that did not last as they were evicted Sunday after their sixth performance in the most sought after television reality show.
It was an unexpected and sad end for Bono region’s Obaapa, Western region’s Esi and Ahafo’s Afia, as they scored the least on the chart for the six week of the 13-week competition.
They join three others, Eastern region’s Oye, Accra’s Otobia and Ashanti’s Serwaa, who were first evicted last week.
It leaves 10 ladies in the competition that is set to go into finals in the next seven weeks.
For Sunday’s performance, the three gave off their best as they talked about myths, beliefs and their relevance to the people and communities in their respective regions.
Esi’s performance saw her talk about how the Ahantans in her region hold the belief that a third born child with older siblings of the same sex as well as twins, serve as an intermediary between the gods of the community and the people.
Afia who shared an interesting story about the ‘Asuo Kwadwo Tano’ town in her home region where goat rearing, it’s killing and use as a delicacy is forbidden.
For her part, Obaapa told the story of the people of Koraso, a small town in her home region whose people believe that fishes produced from the ‘Asuo Koraa’ are the offspring of the river, for which reason fishing is prohibited in that river as a way of ‘saving’ these off-springs.
But their great delivery may not have impressed the public and the judges as the at the end of the night managed the least votes among the 13 contestants
